WW1 Commemorations at Rufford - Future Fields Art Exhibition
Nottinghamshire County Council Arts Service is producing an exhibition called “Future Fields” as a respectful nod towards the WW1 commemorations. The exhibition will be open to the public at Rufford Craft Centre Gallery from 7th – 16th November.
They are looking to commission artists to work with some selected groups to produce art work that reflects WW1 in some way. The artwork will be exhibited at Rufford as part of the “Future Fields” exhibition and they would like to offer U3A members the opportunity to work with an artist to produce work for this exhibition.
In preparation for the exhibition workshops will run at Rufford from 4th - 6th September, 10.30am – 4.00pm with Georgina Bell as the artist (for more information follow this link). The workshops free and will be 'drop in' so that people can come and go for just the times they are available and not have to commit to the three days.
Please contact Helen Ackroyd Strategic Arts Development Officer – Families and Young People Arts Service: Thoroton Rd – 0115 9772900, Rufford – 01623 821312, Mobile – 07500097431.
